A little bit kooky & quirky. Always fun and looking on the bright side even if it gets ridiculous!

Flowers or blobs?  A vase or stems?  It's whatever you want it to be.

There's not a lot  of detail here, but most people instantly see tulips.  The pink and green colour combo has been around for ages.  I've always loved it, but never really used it because of people's perception of pink being too "feminine" for them.  Thankfully, we are moving away from that perception and we see pink in home decoration AND in clothing because everybody looks good in pink!  A very flattering colour.

More Sandrine Pelissier Flowers

Can you see the flowers in the 1st photos before I negative painted around them as shown in the 2nd photos?
1st one is done on clayboard which I really liked.  Very smooth and good for use with ink.
2nd one is done on Yupo paper paper - another new thing for me.

Sandrine Pelissier Workshop

I am fresh off a 2 day workshop with Sandrine Pelissier hosted by the Federation of Canadian Artists (FDA). It was so much fun.  Using ink, acrylics, all sorts of drawing implements and a negative painting technique we created several floral paintings.
This 1 was painted on canvas board.  You can probably see the weave.  I'll post 2 more paintings in the next few days which were painted on different, smoother surfaces.

Florals

I posted several images of this painting in progress on instagram doowaddawaddaart and Twitter ConnieDooWadda .  On August 17th I thought I was close to being finished, but then I ended up adding a whole bunch of stuff.  It's done now.
