A little bit kooky & quirky. Always fun and looking on the bright side even if it gets ridiculous!

Which Came 1st?

Which came 1st?  The "Tobogganeer" family or the real family?  A client's family in Ontario decided to re-create a commissioned piece received by the mom for Christmas this year.  What a great idea!  Brilliant!

The Calgary Flames NHL Hockey Team

Here's a special 'Freewheeler' for the NHL hockey team the Calgary Flames.  These 'cardiac kids' unexpectedly qualified for the 2015 playoffs.  It will be fun watching this cohesive young team bring their exciting come back in the 3rd period type of play to the playoffs.  The red mile on 17th avenue is heating up!

New Greeting Cards

Here are new fresh off the press greeting cards.
- 5x7 blank inside
- includes envelope (may vary from photo)
- sealed in a cellophane sleeve for protection which also allows you to give the card as a gift
- professionally printed on heavy duty cardstock
I've included a photo of the original painting to show these cards are slightly different in colour from the original and to hopefully encourage purchasing originals!
1 5x7 card & envelope for $5.00
4 (2 of each image) 5x7 cards & envelopes for $15.00

Pickup from me or I will deliver free if you live close or, if you live far, I'll mail (postage is extra)

These are larger than previous cards I have had printed. They will also soon be available at my etsy shop if you prefer that method of purchasing. www.etsy.com/ca/shop/doowaddawaddaart

Captain Canada

Although 'Captain Canada' was painted in December, I couldn't post it until now because it was a Christmas gift for the hockey obsessed daughter of the client who commissioned it.  Merry Christmas Jessie!

The Best Game You Can Name

Any Canadian will have the answer to 'The Best Game You Can Name?'
(It's the good old hockey game.)

Stompin' Tom Connors at his finest.  Vintage hockey in this video - no visors, no cages.  Heck - no helmets.  Who needs 'em?

Another Side to Hockey

From the patience and gentle encouragement of #2 and the persistence of #1 and the biggest dive a goalie has ever taken, this will make your heart melt.

In the eyes of #1 that goal is about 50 gazillion miles away. Not even worth trying for really.

But between the unbelievable acts of such a young #2 and an older and bigger goalie, step by step, inch by inch . . . it's fist pumping time!

Christmas Hockey on the Lake

I haven't been painting much lately, but this is what we were doing on Christmas Day. Now that things have settled down from the holidays, I'll get back in the art room pronto!
